The ☕️T(ea) On ⚠️Toxins

Hey Boo Hey!

Let's talk toxins right quick.

The most powerful shift that I experienced during my first detox was realizing my symptoms were either caused or exacerbated by my toxin exposure; before then, I didn’t take toxins and toxic exposure seriously.

Here’s a little more about toxins:

Toxins aka toxicants are substances that can be harmful to living organisms. Living organisms typically produce toxins, while toxicants are synthetic or man-made. Ingredients can refer to any substance used in the formulation of a product.

Environmental toxins are substances that are found in the environment and can be harmful to living organisms. Understanding the different types of harmful substances can help individuals make informed decisions about their health and environment.

While you do have detox pathways within your body to keep you in a constant state of detoxification; high stress, high anxiety, limited whole foods, and lack of adequate sleep limit your body's ability to offload toxic exposure, leading to chronic disease and disorders, such as autoimmune disease, digestive disorders and type 2 diabetes.

Here's some more tea on toxins:

  • Toxins produced by living organisms can include those produced by bacteria, fungi, plants, and animals.
  • These toxins can cause various health effects, from mild irritation to severe illness or even death.
  • Synthetic or man-made toxicants can also have serious health effects, including pesticides, industrial chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.
  • Ingredients in products can sometimes include toxins or toxicants. It’s essential to read labels carefully and research any substances you may be concerned about.
  • Environmental toxins can come from a variety of sources, including air pollution, contaminated water or soil, and hazardous waste sites. Exposure to these toxins can also have serious health effects, particularly for vulnerable populations such as children or pregnant women.
  • Taking steps to reduce your exposure to toxins and toxicants can help protect your health. This can include things like using natural cleaning products, avoiding processed foods, and using protective gear when working with hazardous substances.
